Gandoose River

The mighty Gandoose river begins high in the snow-capped mountain range known as the Stone-Spear and flows strong and swiftly across the entire Uldaar Peninsula before emptying into the Cold Marshes far to the south. The river averages roughly 300 feet across and about 50 feet deep but has been known in certain areas to widen into vast lakes or even narrow, shallow brooks. Many towns and villages have risen along it’s fertile banks and it factors heavily in local trade with lumber companies, fishermen, and those seeking a quick fortune panning for gold. Most notable of these towns is King’s Crossing which lies on both sides of the river just north of a natural canyon where the river’s rapids become violent before forming into a high waterfall, plummeting a full 800 feet before resuming it’s placid, calm pace.
